Fabric, Paris And More Fabric
So even in Paris one must work… I am not complaining of course :) Julia and I spent the day at the Westminster Hotel looking at new art and inspiration for prints.
After the fabric show we browsed and had lunch at Colette. We sipped Karl coke light, love the bottle.
Next stop Angelina for their famous ”chocolat chaud”
Last stop for the day the newish concept store Merci. It's focus is on recycled materials and charities, the profit margins got to charity. It is a gem of store started by the former owners of Bonpoint the beautiful and very posh children's clothing line.

New Online Obsession: The Pleat
Every morning I have a ritual when I get to the office, down some vitamins, sip on my green tea, reapply my pink lip gloss and browse my favorite style sites to keep up with all the happenings in fashion world. Last week I was so excited when I received an email introducing a new site called The Pleat that is the brainchild of some of my favorite NYC gals. All former fashion editors (and all long time CLC supporters) Samara, Julie, Desiree and Tiffanie have succeeded in creating a site that is unique, funny ( check out their Yo Angela post, yes you know you loved Who's The Boss just as much as us :), informative and all around awesome!

Paris In September
1st stop off the Eurostar from London is an early dinner at Brasserie Lipp, I know touristy but yummy and fun.
Oh and there are my new earrings from Liberty
Sunday morning we are up early and ready for the Porte de Clignancourt flea market. I found great victorian pieces, a corseted top with the original whale bone still inside and a hand crochet bed jacket with 3d flowers on the shoulders, here are just a few standouts…
I found a fantastic clock and a leather bound book with a ship relief on the cover.
The flea market is a great place to watch people, look at the vast array of goods and of course get inspired.
Since everything is closed in Paris on Sundays we hit some tourist spots, a quick visit to Notre Dame for a bit of gothic inspiration. It is really spectacular on Sunday afternoon mass despite the thousands of tourists.

Also a good excuse to pop by the world famous Berthillon ice cream shop said to the best ice cream in the world, especially when you enjoy it along the Seine with friends.

Safe | Vanish Opening
Last night some of my favorite girls came out to toast the opening of my husband Glenn's latest show Safe | Vanish at LAXART. The was show filled with pieces that Glenn has been working on for over two years including a safe filled with recorded secrets collected from a range of art world and celebrity personalities to a wall of wands paying homage to an array of different artists like Cindy Sherman and Any Warhol. As expected all of the ladies came out dressed to impress, here are a few highlights from the evening…

The Sche Report's Margaret Sche looked amazing in her 1970's ensemble, that girl know how to accessorize. She made me want to go back in time and hang with Joni Mitchell in Laurel Canyon :)
One of the highlights of the evening was meeting Rose Apodaca and Andy Griffith's 6 week old daughter Nina Marisol, what a handsome family!
