I have found my new Wednesday night local hangout, the Allston Yacht Club in Echo Park. Although it has been open for 2 years I never knew about their awesome Wednesday night fete where all of their delicious plates are $5, wine is $20 a bottle and the crowd is fun! Their specialty cocktails are amazing as well, although we were a little scared to try their famous Bacon and Egg Martini  ;)

They have a great happy hour and Sunday brunch as well! If you are in Echo Park check them out!

We just found these adorable photos of  Susan G. Koger, Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer of ModCloth.com (one of our favorite shopping destinations) wearing CLC for ModCloth dress in Venice, Italy. She is a perfect throwback to the beautiful ladies that walked though the Venice canals in the 1950s.

We got a sneak preview Sunday night of the Arcade Fire / Spike Jonze short film titled 'Scenes From The Suburbs'. It was inspired by the Grammy award winning album 'The Suburbs' co-written by Spike and brothers Will and Win Butler. 

 At first it seems like a lighthearted coming of age film of friendship, summer days and love, it looks beautiful. The kids seem carefree and blissfully unaware of the darkness taking hold of their suburban enclave. I won't say much more except check it out. Seems it's unavailable in the US right now, but here is the trailer. It's worth the wait and if your not already a fan it will make you one.
